i'm turning my bfs old stuffie into a cute little bag :3
time stamp : like 10 hours !
my bfs mom + grandma were doing a garage sale and i saw this little guy out there , just waiting to come home with me u.u - i asked my boy and he said im free to do whatever i want with him so here it goes :3
firstly my supplies ! i ended up using waaayyyy more than what's pictured (when the inspiration hits you gotta roll with it) but what's pictured is 2 scrap fabrics (i was trying to decide what the inside should look like and i thought having it be sleepy themed would be cute ! looking back i might change it to just black given what he looks like now lol) scissors ofc , a mass of buttons to choose the Perfect set of eyes, D rings, a zipper, and the chains that are gonna be used as the strap for the bag ! not pictured is 2 different thicknesses of black ribbon , a bunch of safety pins , some old earrings i took off a pair of cat ears i have , old piercing jewelry ,and patches ! (can you see where this is going ?)
fuck you cuts you open and guts you before turning your skin inside out >:) - kidding but not really that was first thing i did - i also took out his eyes o.o i've never been a huge fan of the color acrylic eyes tbh… the all black ones are fine but the colored ones… they look kinda creepy to me…… i plan on replacing them with some black buttons :) i put some D rings in on his back to hold the chain that will Inevitably turn him into a bag
this is where i am so far !! i cut out and sewed the pocket for the inside of the bag (i picked the light beige moon and star one) but , then again , i might just do all black as it fits his vibe more ! i’m really debating putting patches on him ! i don't like how white the paint is compared to his fur but i think it'd look really sick !! i have another patch that i think would be cool to double as a second , outside , pocket ! it's of bart simpson with a gun pointed at a police officer and it says “kids don’t talk to pigs” :) it’s been really fun playing around with Lamby and making him look super cool >:) my favorite part so far is the little spikes running down his face ! very cool :3 also unrelated but i listened to the entirety of Epic: The Musical while making this so
AT LAST !!!!! he can see again !!! i added two cute buttons for his eyes , hes got his ACAB patch which i turned into a pocket , and all the other patches are sewn on now too :) i also put the chain on and had to weave the ribbon through every other link ugh T-T that alone took like 45 min but it was so worth it !!! it makes it so much cuter in my opinion and just ties it all together !!!!
next on the to do list !
1. i think itd be really funny to give him a pompom purin styled butthole ahdhdgsg
2. i dont think ill remake the interior pocket like i was thinking as it doesnt Really matter but i Do have to sew it in
3. sew on the zipper !!
4. really secure all the earrings so they dont accidentally fall out and then we (should be) done :D
he's finished !!! i added the inner pocket , the zipper , made sure all the earrings were all secure , i even gave him a butthole !!! now all that there is left to do is write "Lamby" on his faded tag (per my boyfriends request :3) i think he came out so so cute !!! i'm so glad i actually put in the time and effort into making him !!!! it was so much fun just putting my energy into something creative instead of just doom scrolling on my phone :)
